Abstract

Poverty is often associated with economic incapacity, which not only affects material well-being but can also impact faith and knowledge within a community. In the context of family life, achieving economic prosperity is a primary goal; however, it is not always easy to attain without proper support and empowerment programs. Therefore, initiatives that enhance knowledge and skills are essential to help communities become more economically independent. The findings of this study indicate that the limestone home industry program in Dusun Open, Mangkung Village, has played a significant role in improving the economic well-being of underprivileged families. This program not only increases household income but is also supported by mentoring from the Population and Family Planning Control Agency to ensure the sustainability of the business. The positive impact of this program is evident in the improved quality of life of the community, where their welfare level has risen from the lower-income category to the middle-income category. Thus, this empowerment program has proven to be an effective solution for enhancing family welfare through the limestone industry.
