Abstract

In Indonesia, cases of sexual violence have been on the rise annually, with victims spanning across children. Incidents of sexual violence against children are steadily increasing, not just in terms of quantity but also in severity. What's more tragic is that most perpetrators come from the child's family or immediate surroundings. Consequently, the government has implemented the Child-Friendly Village program to uphold children's rights and shield them from violence and discrimination. The study's focus includes: 1) examining the community empowerment through the establishment of a Child-Friendly Village program by DP3AKB in Dawuhan Mangli Village, Sukowono Subdistrict, Jember Regency, and 2) identifying the supporting factors and obstacles within the aforementioned program. This research employs a qualitative method, utilizing direct observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings conclude that: 1) Directing the community, especially children, to protect them from violence and providing guidance to ensure their rights are met. 2) Supporting factors for the establishment of a Child-Friendly Village include high birth rates, existing social issues, and adequate infrastructure. However, hindrances in this establishment involve a lack of human resources and limited time availability.
