Empathy training is a crucial approach in enhancing the emotional management skills of counselors, particularly those working in the Technical Service Unit for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (ULT PPKS). Counselors frequently encounter emotionally complex situations while assisting victims of sexual violence, making effective emotion regulation an essential skill. This study aims to develop and implement an empathy training program specifically designed to strengthen the emotional competencies of ULT PPKS counselors. Using a Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach, this study conducted pre- and post-training assessments to evaluate changes in participants' empathy and emotional regulation skills. The training program incorporated theoretical sessions on empathy and emotional management, case simulations, and individual reflections. Findings indicate that the program significantly improved counselors' understanding of empathy, enhanced their stress management abilities, and refined their emotional responses in challenging situations. These results highlight the importance of integrating empathy training into professional development strategies to support counselors in their critical roles at ULT PPKS.
