Cegah Stunting dengan Penyuluhan dan Pemberian Makanan Tambahan di Desa Gucialit Kabupaten Lumajang

Abstract

Nutritional problems in Indonesia are still a serious problem that can have an impact on the quality of Human Resources (HR). One of the nutrition problems currently being the focus of the Indonesian government is stunting. In Lumajang district, the prevalence of stunting reaches 23.8%. This percentage shows that Lumajang is included in the top 10 districts with high stunting rates in East Java Province. With a relatively high prevalence, this encourages students to be able to contribute directly to society to reduce stunting rates in Lumajang, especially in Gucialit Village. Based on the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Community Service, it provides students with learning and work experiences as well as being directly involved with the community. The existence of community service in Gucialit Village is expected to be able to complete the stunting rate to 0 by carrying out work programs namely counseling to provide insight to the community so that they are more sensitive and not ignore problems regarding nutrition in toddlers. Insights about the importance of fulfilling nutrition in toddlers also have a big influence on the growth and development of toddlers and make parents more responsive in dealing with stunting toddlers. Apart from that, there is also the Provision of Supplementary Food (PMT) to help fulfill nutrition for toddlers, health monitoring through Posyandu activities, and the provision of hydroponic growing media to support the food order in Gucialit Village. The existence of this program is able to provide awareness to the community to participate in moving to solve the stunting problem so that it reaches 0.
