Peran Perempuan dalam Pengembangan Masyarakat Islam: Studi tentang Kontribusi Muslimah dalam Pendidikan dan Sosial di Bima, NTB

Abstract

This study examines the role of women in Islamic community development, with a focus on the contributions of Muslim women in education and social initiatives in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The research aims to explore how women's involvement in these areas enhances community well-being and strengthens their position within the social structure. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observations in local communities. Findings indicate that women's empowerment programs, such as those led by La Rimpu, have successfully enhanced women's skills and knowledge, leading to improved family and community welfare. Moreover, women's active participation in education and social activities has shifted societal perceptions, recognizing them as key agents of change rather than merely family members. This study concludes that empowering women through education and social engagement is essential for achieving sustainable development goals within the Islamic society of Bima.
