Transformative economic innovation in bamboo management in Sawaran Lor Village, Lumajang, aims to enhance local economic development by leveraging the existing natural resources. The main issue encountered is the low utilization of bamboo as an economic commodity that could improve the welfare of the village community. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach, involving in-depth interviews, observations, and focus group discussions (FGDs) with local residents, stakeholders, and bamboo management experts. The collected data is analyzed descriptively to understand the potential and challenges in bamboo management. The findings indicate that effective bamboo management can create new job opportunities, increase community income, and support environmental sustainability. Additionally, innovations in bamboo products, such as handicrafts and eco-friendly building materials, can enhance the competitiveness of local products in the market. However, challenges include a lack of knowledge and skills among residents in bamboo processing and limited market access. Therefore, training and mentoring programs are needed to strengthen community capacity in managing and marketing bamboo products.
